Who are we?
Who are we?
Over the past 10 years, T8 First Response instructors have trained over 700 individuals from mums, dads and helpers to professionals from the aviation, education, medical, event, sporting and business sectors. We have also provided primary and secondary care services to DB Pirates, Valley RFC, Lantau Boat Club, iGym, sporting tours, sports festivals, Team Fear and more.
Our primary instructor, Steve Tait (ex British Forces) is an Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver and Emergency Planner. On occasion large courses are supplemented with the support of qualified intensive care and trauma nurses and paramedics who add their own experience to what is an educational, fund and challenging course.
Courses can be customised as required, though they do follow the key requirements and skills as set out by EFR.
All course participants receive a globally recognised qualification.

CERTIFICATION
CERTIFIED TRAINING CENTRE
As a new leading provider of primary and secondary care courses in Hong Kong, we are also one of a few accredited EFR training centres available to residents.
Our courses provide global certification for first aid to all who complete our courses.

CERTIFICATION
All T8 First Response and EFR courses are accredited and certified by EFR (Australia). The base for the renewal period is on the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) recommendation and the good practice guidelines of most Health and Safety organisations.

Certification renewal every two years (approx) ensures:

-
Improved understanding of the workings of the human body due to continuous research in the field leads to changes in first aid procedures. These changes can range from something as simple as bandaging or CPR techniques to more complex advancements in the technology used to provide first aid (e.g. blood glucose checkers and digital defibrillators).
-
Regular refresher courses (no more than two years separation) make sure the first aiders on their team maintain their skills throughout their certificate period (two years). This way, they can ensure staff can administer first aid quickly and efficiently in emergencies, thus cutting down the time it takes to treat patients.
