With the Emergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care course at its core this accreditation course teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies, that they may come across in an ever more complex society. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure the young participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.
The course can be customized based on the school or groups requirements and if alignment with IGCSE or IB is required. Though the content is formal much of the course relies on the participants developing and interest in the core subject matter and learning through open discussion, the course is perfect to set up young people as they upskill and head to university.
The program consists of a combination of two core components plus additional skills:
- Primary Care & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Use of AED
- Secondary Care (Assessment First Aid)
